ASUS brings budget ultrabooks with the VivoBook Ultra A412, A512, K403

Let’s have a look at ASUS’s brand new additions to the series. These 3 new laptops are new additions to the A and K series of VivoBook Ultra lineup of laptops, bringing ultrabook-like features without the ultrabook tax that is found on many other high-end laptops. The new laptops here are the VivoBook Ultra A412, A512, and K403.

VivoBook Ultra A412 & A512

These are two pretty much the same laptop but with different screen sizes. They both have a magnificent screen cramped into a tiny footprint thanks to ASUS’s NanoEdge technology. The VivoBook Ultra also comes with ErgoLift hinge, whereby the laptop gets propped up when the screen is opened.

The new VivoBook Ultra A412 and A512 are pretty great in terms of performance as well. You can play some AAA titles with fairly low graphics and esports title at mostly high settings too. We also reviewed the VivoBook Ultra A512 here!

These two laptops even come with 4 different colors – Transparent Silver, Slate Grey, Peacock Blue, and also Coral Crush. I am personally loving the Peacock Blue as it reminds me of the ZenBook 13 UX333.

As for the specs, here they are. Both the A412 and A512 are priced at RM2,899.

For the VivoBook Ultra K403, ASUS did a spin on the A series by doubling the battery capacity. ASUS claims that this laptop can provide up to 24 hours of battery life – and for me, even if they only can achieve 12 hours, that is pretty damn impressive on its own.

Other than that, the specs is pretty much similar and available in two colors as well – Silver Blue and Petal Pink. The VivoBook Ultra is available for the price of RM2,699 for the Intel Core i3-8145U variant and RM3,399 for the Intel Core i5-8265U variant.
