Computex 2024 AGI Storage - 08

Taiwanese storage leader, AGI Storage has shown off quite the impressive and attention-grabbing products at COMPUTEX 2024.

The centerpiece of their showcase was undoubtedly the groundbreaking PCIe 5.0 x4 SSD. During a live demonstration, it achieved phenomenal speeds, reaching a staggering 12,400MBps for sequential reads and 12,000MBps for sequential writes.

For users who haven’t transitioned to PCIe yet, they offered a compelling option – a high-capacity 8TB SATA SSD. This caters to those with extensive storage requirements.

Furthermore, AGI displayed a range of system DRAM kits compatible with both DDR4 and DDR5 memory standards. This comprehensive selection underscores their established position within the storage industry.

However, the most awe-inspiring product was undoubtedly the 2TB microSD card. AGI’s ability to integrate such a high density of NAND chips into a miniature form factor represents a significant technological leap.

Beyond core storage solutions, AGI presented a dedicated section for innovative accessories. One particularly clever device was the cube-shaped OTG storage unit with charge passthrough that lets users have “both cake and pie” at the same time.

Another noteworthy product was the magnetic SSD designed to attach to the back of a smartphone. Notably, it boasts the capability to record 4K60FPS video directly into it.

AGI Stirage’s presence at COMPUTEX 2024 is just the beginning of its tech breakthroughs and I hope there’s a 4TB microSD card from them soon.
