Final Words
From the name itself, ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, is obvious that ASUS wanted to design a phone that snaps great looking selfies. At least that is what everyone would have thought when they heard the name. However, I had mixed feelings for the selfie feature. I have to make clear that the primary selfie camera is great but underwhelming for the secondary wide angle camera.
Having a dual camera setup at the front is rare, especially when one of them has ultra wide angle lens on it. Yes, I do know that OPPO F3 had done the same, but they are not officially available in Malaysia. I’m venting my frustration here because I see this as a missed opportunity. If and only if ASUS had a better sensor for the wide angle lens or heck why not just use the same sensor for both selfie camera, this phone will not just be the perfect selfie/wefie camera, but vlogging camera too.
At the price of RM 1,799, ASUS has checked quite a number of checkboxes particularly the build quality, vibrant AMOLED display, great performance and battery life. Even if you’re not someone who takes selfie often, but the ultra wide angle lens should be useful when it comes to group wefie.
