Canon Brings Next Generation EF L-Series Telephoto Zoom Lenses

Canon Malaysia has announced new EF L-series telephoto zoom lenses, the EF70200mm f/2.8L IS III USM and the EF70-200mm f/4L IS II USM lenses. In line with enhancing photography experiences for customers, the brand opened its revamped Canon Image Square in Mid Valley Megamall, a one-stop shop for all Canon consumer products. Special promotions exclusively at this store await customers from 16 to 22 July 2018!

Both the lenses feature optics utilizing one fluorite and five UD elements which delivers superior image quality with stunning resolution and contrast. Reducing camera shake and improving the possibility of hand-held shooting, the new EF70-200mm f/4L IS II USM features a key IS performance upgrade of up to 5 stops with three mode selections, while the EF70200mm f/2.8L IS III USM is equipped with an IS capability of 3.5 stops. The lenses are built for durability – featuring dustproof and drip-proof structures with fluorine coating that simplifies cleaning of the lens surface.

In addition to new EF70-200mm L-series lenses, Canon Marketing Malaysia also announced the opening of the brand’s revamped Canon Image Square concept store in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. This is the first store in the Klang Valley to adopt the refreshed concept, following the first Canon Image Square concept store which opened in Penang in September 2017.

Modern and infused with a minimalistic ambience, the Canon Image Square store will enhance customer’s retail experience where they will be able to view the full line-up of Canon consumer products as well as test out products they are interested in. Trained technical personnel will be on hand to assist customers in understanding the features and capabilities of the devices better. A one-stop shop, the store will carry the brand’s range of digital cameras and printers to camera accessories to printer ink cartridges. Customers will also be able to view the new EF L-Series lenses at the Mid Valley Megamall Canon Image Square store.

In its third generation now, the high-performance EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM inherits the fundamental features of its predecessor and remains a favourite amongst users as large aperture telephoto zoom lens in a multitude of settings such as sports events and press coverage, given its impressive rendering capabilities and mobility. The renewed lens adopts the new Air Sphere Coating (ASC) coating technology which suppresses flaring and ghosting to pursue even higher image quality.

Upgraded after 10 years, the popular EF70-200mm f/4L IS II USM lens, will continue to feature its winning characteristics of lightweight and small size with excellent IS performance, delivering high image quality and maintaining affordability. The lens has also been remodelled for portability and features an enhanced IS performance. The new EF70-200mm f/4L IS II USM is already available in Malaysia is priced at RM5,499.00 (RRP) while the EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM will be available at a near future date.
