Epson releases new EpiqVision Mini EF-12 laser projection TV at RM5,000

Epson’s announces the latest laser projector that includes the function of a smart TV which is the EpiqVision Mini EF-12.
Projecting images at FHD resolution, the device is capable of receiving 4K video signals as well where the internal downscaler will make sure the result maintaining the quality at the fullest. The speaker is also getting a help from YAMAHA for tuning and the ability to operate as a stand-alone speaker. As a whole, the entire device can be a either a sender that pushes sound signals to other smart speakers or receive them and be played through the YAMAHA speakers.
The smart TV function also eliminate the needs for getting one if the user doesn’t own one yet as the built-in Android TV does the same jobs of streaming movies and shows from Youtube and other services or games through Google Play Store. What’s more, any smart devices that supports Chromecast will also be able to stream content directly into the EF-12 for bigger screen estate for a more immersive experience.
Endurance-wise, the EF-12 is expected to operate up to 20,000 hours without any maintenence while churning out clear images in 1000-lumen brightness. Rated to project up to 150-inches of display size to match any home theatre standards, the device can be considered an economical product for heavy duty users that utilizes them on a daily basis and for an extensive period. The long hours also means that it is sufficient for business use as the Zoom-powered Epson Online Meetings will let users to start online meetings instantly without any additional equipment and thanks to the automatic focus, vertical and horizontal keystones adjustment to balance out any slants, get to meetings in minutes isn’t as tough as before.
Pricing
The Epson EpiqVision Mini EF-12 will become available in Malaysia starting mid-April at the price of RM5,000. That’s a bonker price tag but if you use it to its full potential and actually brings positive changes to your workflow, it might just worth the price.
