Build Quality & Design
Magnificent Navy Blue
There’s quite a heft when you pick up the phone. It is quite understandable since the device now falls under phablet category with its 5.7-inch display panel at the front.
The design of the Honor 8 Pro is surprisingly boring, especially when you put the beautifully crafted Honor 8 side by side. Gone is the 15-layers of shiny holographic glass back, but at least they still keep their mesmerising blue tone that came by when the Honor 8 was introduced.
Fingerprint Scanner
The rear mounted fingerprint scanner is responsive to touches and unlocks the phone without any noticeable delay. It also supports finger gestures for photo taking or pulling down the notification shade.
As Huawei has decided to move the fingerprint scanner to the front for the P10/P10 Plus and Honor 9. Therefore, the Honor 8 Pro is probably the last Honor flagship to have a fingerprint scanner at the back.
