Review – Kingston 2023 Mini Rabbit USB Flash Drive – Is an earless bunny still a bunny
2 min readKingston began selling the new 2023 Mini Rabbit USB Flash Drive in Malaysia about 2 months ago but at last, we got a retail unit to review so let us run you through the simple journey.
The striking difference one can see is the transition from the soda can design found in the Mini Tiger to the clear bottle of “cold pressed carrot juice” with the USB drive sitting in the middle.
Pulling it out and the wholesome cuteness just bursts straight away with its pointy ear tips and derpy face holding a piece of carrot.
The 64GB capacity is printed on the back to remind you about it.
The gold-painted USB drive is the same as the other models yet the handle, as you expected, is the rabbit’s ears so if you pull the flash drive out the rabbit instantly loses half of its charm and now instead just feels like a pink gremlin.
For the transfer speed, it achieves 200MBps read speed due to the USB 3.2 Gen 1 protocol so at just RM99, this is pretty easy to grab and collect albeit it is priced RM10 higher than last year’s model so yeah, buy one and add it to your shelf as a simple and cute decoration or perhaps treat it as your “Windows 10 boot drive” if you’re a frequent formatter.
