“Total SSD Shipped” market report of 2023 sees Kingston sitting cozily at first place
2 min readKingston has once again claimed the title of “Leading 3rd-Party SSD Supplier” in the 2023 channel market.
This marks Kingston’s seventh win, securing a 34% total market share compared to ADATA’s 11%. This success highlights Kingston’s dedication to building a robust global sales network, offering a comprehensive SSD lineup, and providing outstanding customer service.
The branded SSD retail market grew by 3.7% year-over-year in 2023, reaching 118 million units as users worldwide upgraded to higher-capacity SSDs, especially 2TB+ models. Many found the standard 256GB and 512GB drives insufficient for gaming and high-performance needs, with pandemic-era PC replacements also boosting demand.
In 2023, Kingston expanded its product range with the DC600M Enterprise SSD for mixed workloads and the compact, cost-effective XS1000 External SSD, which complemented the well-received XS2000 model. These launches contributed to Kingston’s record-breaking SSD sales.
“We are honored to receive this top ranking once again”, said Kingston. “From the start, Kingston has remained committed to serving our customers and channel partners worldwide. These strong relationships have been key to the remarkable growth of our SSD business. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our entire team, and we are grateful to celebrate this recognition and success together.”
To mark this success, Kingston is offering up to 20% off and special promotions at its Official Stores on Shopee and Lazada, as well as with authorized partners from November 8-17. Customers also have a chance to win a 55-inch Smart TV or an RM300 Aeon Gift Voucher daily with any Kingston purchase.
