LG joins hands with Razer and MediaTek to introduce cutting-edge Bluetooth Ultra-Low Latency Technology
1 min readAt the recent LG webOS Summit 2024, LG announced that it has teamed up with Razer and MediaTek to bring the first-ever Bluetooth Ultra Low Latency (BT ULL) Controller.
To begin with, Razer has created the first game controller with BT ULL technology, and both LG and Razer have compared a BT ULL-enabled Bluetooth game controller with a standard controller on an LG webOS smart TV. The result showed that the BT ULL controller offers enhanced responsiveness, 1ms input lag, and greater control precision across various cloud-based games.
Furthermore, LG plans to launch a certification program for third-party game controllers to ensure seamless compatibility with BT ULL-supported controllers on LG webOS smart TVs, with Razer being the first one to receive the certification.
On a side note, LG and MediaTek are collaborating to integrate the BT ULL technology into MediaTek’s Wi-Fi ‘MT7921’ chipset to provide LG webOS smart TVs users with faster response times for online multiplayer cloud games.
