New MINIX U8K-ULTRA media hub released for quality yet easy 8K content access
After the mini PC was released a couple of weeks ago, MINIX is back with another new product called the U8K-ULTRA.
This is a media hub designed to provide some of the best viewing experiences through powerful technology and features. The internal hosts an Amlogic S928X-K processor capable of handling 8K UHD video playback with ease while video formats like AV1, VP9, and H.265 is just the start when you factor in other things like Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
Aside from the 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC storage for smooth operation, it also comes with WiFi 6 to help you skip the LAN cable and just stream everything wirelessly.
Other than that, there’s a series of AI-powered image enhancements such as Super Resolution Upscaler that can improve the resolution of legacy content by at max, 2x upscale 1080p / 3x upscale 720p / 4x upscale 480p. Real-time picture quality fine-tuning is also its comfort spot, optimizing everything before it is delivered to the screen.
Apparently, it also has Widevine DRM integration that allows certain apps and platforms with specific DRM requirements to run, allowing access to premium content without the bother of legal issues.
All in all, the MINIX U8K-ULTRA is a friendly and easy-to-use device built with modern standards for anyone seeking a hub that can deliver high-quality and smooth content.
