The Nikon Z 8 full-frame mirrorless camera can be yours for a hefty change from RM18,338
2 min readNikon Malaysia has officially introduced the Z 8, a new full-frame mirrorless camera that offers exceptional imaging quality for professional photographers and videographers.
The camera’s High-Res Zoom feature allows for twice the angle of view when zooming, even with a prime lens, during 4K UHD and Full HD video recording in full-frame mode. Specifically designed for videographers, it has the capability to record approximately 125 minutes of 4K UHD/60p video and about 90 minutes of 8K UHD/30p video.
The Z 8 is equipped with a 4-axis vertical/horizontal tilting monitor, allowing for flexible and comfortable shooting angles. The monitor can adjust its display orientation vertically or horizontally, including the menu, while shooting.
Weighing around 910g, the camera is lightweight and compact, making it suitable for extended shooting sessions, even for solo operations. It also offers compatibility with various videography accessories such as the MC-N10 Remote Grip, wireless video transmitters, and v-mount batteries, reducing the need for additional equipment and setup time.
One of the key highlights is the support for multiple formats, including 12-bit N-RAW and ProRes RAW for advanced users, as well as 10-bit Apple ProRes 422 HQ and 8-bit H.265 SDR for beginners or professionals.
If you prefer higher resolutions, options like 8.3K/60p (N-RAW only) or 8K UHD/30p are available, with the ability to capture 8K HDR in-camera compatible with Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) 8K monitors via HDMI 2.1 connection.
The camera offers convenient features such as Pre-Release Capture for capturing decisive moments easily, and High-Speed Frame Capture+ for recording moments up to 1 second before or 4 seconds after fully pressing the shutter button.
Other notable features include Autofocus, Real-Live Viewfinder, Vibration Reduction, Auto White Balance, and more.
