Final Words

If you’re reading this review, either you’re interested with the OnePlus 5 OR you just happen to stumble upon the brand and have no idea whether is it worth buying. Throughout my 2 weeks of usage, I am extremely impressed with the overall performance of this phone. While it may not have an eye-catching design or the latest 18:9 display ratio, in return, what you get is a device with a solid performance and great battery life plus ultra fast Dash Charge.

Meanwhile, for the price, there are a lot of complaints from enthusiasts that OnePlus is losing their initial vision of providing great hardware & software at affordable price. Indeed, OnePlus One (2014) was sold at the price range of RM 1,600 three years ago, then the OnePlus 5 has come to RM 2,388. Even so, we must not forget the fact that the smartphone industry’s pricing has been climbing even for other brands. Did you know that the Samsung Galaxy S5 16 GB (2014) was sold at RM 2,399? Compared to this year’s Galaxy S8 at RM 3,299.

From my point of view, the OnePlus 5 is definitely worth the price tag of RM 2,388. In fact, at the time of review, there is no other phone with Snapdragon 835 being offered at this price range.
