OPPO Reno Showcases its 5G Capabilities in Malaysia
During the launch of the 5G Live Cluster Field Trial held by Celcom in Malaysia, OPPO Reno series became the first smartphones to demonstrate their 5G capabilities. The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom has established a jaw-dropping 1.2GBps of download speeds during the demo session, attended by Mr Al-Ishsal Ishak, the chairman of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

5G, the fifth generation of mobile technology has been a trending topic among many phone manufacturers and countless more among phone enthusiast around the world. But fast download speeds aren’t the only thing that 5G capable of. Unleashing a wide spectrum of possibilities, 5G can push the limits of virtual reality, drone technology, telehealth and IoT(Internet of Things) and Celcom has demonstrated the potential of their 5G speed capabilities during the launch of the Live Cluster Field Trial event.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom & 5G
Hence to test the potential of the 5G network, the phone used was the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom and it recorded a whopping download speed of 1.2GBps. Speeds like these will allow users to upload high-resolution YouTube videos, loading data from Google or updating media on their social media platforms the fraction of seconds bringing it close to the zero latency era of seamless online connectivity.
William Fang added “With 5G, we could see more new products and services come to live and make users life easier and faster, and mobile devices, especially mobile phone will be the main portal for users to control and connect to all the service. Hence, OPPO has built IoT team in 2019 which will focus on product and service focus on sports, healthcare and smart living which could be all connected through OPPO phone.”
