Other World Computing (OWC) Introduces Intel Thunderbolt Share for the Thunderbolt Go Dock
Other World Computing (OWC) is bringing fast PC-to-PC connectivity to their Thunderbolt Go Dock through a collaboration with Intel’s Thunderbolt Share software. This new feature allows users to easily share devices and content between two Thunderbolt-equipped computers using a single Thunderbolt port.
The Thunderbolt Go Dock, already a full-featured dock with a built-in power supply and 11 ports, becomes an even more powerful tool for multi-PC workflows. With Thunderbolt Share, users can seamlessly share a monitor, mouse, keyboard, storage, and files between two PCs at Thunderbolt speeds.
“The addition of Intel’s Thunderbolt Share to our Thunderbolt Go Dock is an ideal solution for those that work with more than one computer,” said OWC CEO Larry O’Connor.
The Thunderbolt Go Dock remains ideal for users seeking additional ports, faster Ethernet transfers, notebook charging, and memory card ingest. Its built-in power supply eliminates the need for a bulky power brick, making it a great choice for mobile users.
Key features of the OWC Thunderbolt Go Dock include:
- Three Thunderbolt 4 ports with up to 40Gb/s speeds
- Two USB-A ports and a USB-C port
- 2.5G Ethernet connection
- HDMI port for 8K displays
- SD card reader
- 3.5mm audio jack
The OWC Thunderbolt Go Dock with Intel Thunderbolt Share capabilities is available now for $299.99. Thunderbolt Share is activated through a software download from the Intel website.
