Overview – Samsung Sound Tower MX-T70
2 min readIt’s rare that we ever get to take a look at something that’s out of the ordinary. Today is something that I think is definitely not suitable to unbox in the office, but that’s the only choice we have. Anyway, this is the Samsung Sound Tower MX-T70, also known as the Giga Party.
Within Samsung’s lineup of “party speakers”, this is currently the highest-end available. Packing a massive 1500W RMS of power, the Samsung Sound Tower MX-T70 is definitely not a force to be reckoned with.
It is packed with massive power and in our short showcase here, we were immediately surprised by what it is able to do. Seriously, the demo mode defaults to that level of volume and plays the exact same thing every time. Just be sure not to enter demo mode at 2am is what I’m saying.
I’m also very sure that our neighbors hated us that day as the amount of bass was overwhelmingly strong to the point where even our carpeted floor was vibrating. We bumped up the volume even higher and at that point, our ears were seriously hurting.
The Samsung Sound Tower MX-T70 also has RGB in a few areas and has a few lighting modes to select too – but it doesn’t have any “adaptive” lighting modes that follow the music.
All in all, the Samsung Sound Tower MX-T70 is an interesting speaker – though we still think that it’s definitely an outdoors speaker. Perhaps placed at a corner at the swimming pool.
