PICO 4 all-in-one VR headset debuts in Malaysia and you can get one today from RM1,699
The Malaysian market welcomes a new challenger for the all-in-one VR headset as PICO launches the new PICO 4 for the local market.
Different from the big brands like Steam or Oculus or even HTC, PICO is aiming for the “Buy and Enjoy” experience because you don’t need to hook it up to a PC or laptop to be able to enjoy VR content because it is fully standalone. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2 chipset, users will be able to enjoy everything with clarity thanks to the 1200PPI 4K+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate with the headpiece using 4 SLAM camera placement to track movements accurately.
Created to provide a streamlined experience without running into physical strains early, the headset’s cushion lining made with SpuerSkin fabric in combination with anti-slip PU leather at the back part will make sure it straps on properly and with comfort. Oh, the headpiece is only at 295g without the strap if you’re wondering why it is so light.
Controllers are part of the core inputs as well as it is equipped with a one-piece rotating arc column packed with infrared sensors and 6DoF support to enable the user to extend their hand movement in terms of horizontal and vertical range greatly.
The PICO 4 can be used for a variety of entertainment content as well with things like games and fitness programs being the bread and butter while watching VR video content or “flicking” through social media apps can be done too if you desire.
Pricing
You can acquire the PICO 4 in Malaysia at 2 different price points – RM1,699 for the 128GB model and RM1,999 for the 256GB instead.
Authorized PICO dealers such as Impulse Gaming, Thunder Match, and the Urban Republic carry them or you can just buy them off via PICO flagship stores on Shopee and Lazada.
