Review – OPPO F5: For the Selfie Lovers
Final Words
I guess that all lead to the conclusion of this review. The OPPO F5 takes on the current trend of having a large 18:9 aspect ratio display and at the same time upgrades the internal components to keep up with the better power efficiency. Still, we expected a higher performing chip.
As an OPPO F-series smartphone, the front camera quality is performing as expected albeit they might have forgotten about the rear camera. Nonetheless, if you take a lot of selfies to share on social media, the beautifying algorithm has made a lot improvement which doesn’t make us look like dolls. The big “But” is probably the cancerous ColorOS which they might probably want consider to change it into “iOS-WannaBe 4.1” next time, at least from an Android purist’s point of view.
For the price of RM 1,298, OPPO F5 stands head to head against the Huawei nova 2i (RM 1,299) and the vivo V7+ (RM 1,499) and vivo V7 (RM 1,299). If you’re used to iOS user experience and looking for a great Android selfie shooter, do take a look at the OPPO F5.
