Samsung Debuts Galaxy Tab S4 & Galaxy Tab A 10.5

If you think the tablet market is pretty much dead by now, you are partially correct. In fact, the reason why the tablet is not as popular as before is due to the ever advancement in the smartphone technology. Tablets are since then becomes a productivity tool instead of an entertainment device. Just look at how many salespeople you met are carrying a tablet because they are lightweight and easier to conduct face-to-face presentations.  Hence, Samsung is still working on tablets that are designed to be portable productivity stations or do-everything family devices.

Samsung’s flagship tablet that is designed to be the ultimate workhorse. For 2018, the Snapdragon 835 leaves a lot to be desired. Nonetheless, the 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display at 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution is perfect for multitasking and entertainment. Samsung also includes the S Pen for those who need it for note taking and graphical tasks. The Samsung Experience 9.5 with built-in Samsung DeX support makes a lot more sense in the tablet environment. With a simple toggle, and you’ll be greeted with a desktop-like user interface.

As for the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, it is more family oriented with lower hardware specifications – Snapdragon 450, 1200p TFT LCD and no fast charging. The Kids Mode allows the parent to control and manage the usage time. The child-friendly user interface is designed to make learning and entertainment simple, safe and fun.

Still, a tablet with Snapdragon 450 at the price of RM 1,699 rather ambitious.
