Main Camera
The camera at the back is probably the most questionable hardware on the Galaxy S8+ because Samsung has decided to stick with the same camera module as the Galaxy S7. The single 12-megapixel sensor comes with a wide-angle and bright f/1.7 aperture lens. Just like the Galaxy S7, the camera also has the amazingly quick Dual Pixel AF technology.
I was lucky enough to have the phone ready for my Taipei Computex trip. The photos taken during the trip was magnificent and I was blown away by the image quality and the responsive camera app.
The camera app is simple and responsive to use. It has all the basic functions and features to satisfy your photography and videography needs. The Dual Pixel AF is a monster for being able to nail focus at crazy fast speed, especially there are times where I simply run-and-gun during my visit to the night market without having to worry about focusing.
Image quality is awesome with accurate colour reproduction and good dynamic range. Low light photos are surprisingly good with good details and well-controlled noise.

Front Camera
The selfie shooter at the front gets an upgrade from 5-megapixel to 8-megapixel with improved face-detection autofocus.
