Samsung has a 98-inch 8K QLED TV with RM299,999 Price Tag

Samsung Malaysia Electronics has unveiled its largest 8K QLED TV to its 2019 TV line up. At 98″, that is officially the largest 8K TV Malaysians could get by if the 6-digit price tag is something that could deter you from.
The new Samsung QLED 8K TV comes equipped with Samsung’s proprietary Quantum Processor – an AI-powered picture and sound processing unit. In short, it is a device that helps to calibrate the lower-resolution sources and optimise them for the 8K panel. While some may call it a digital-upscaling chip with glorified name, then again, until native 8K content becomes more common, this feature is very well needed for such cutting-edge television.
Other key products in the line-up include a suite of 8K and 4K TVs, such as the 8K Q900R that ranges from 65-inch to 98-inch in size. Meanwhile the 4K Q90R, Q75R and Q60R from 49-inch to 82-inch. In total, there are more than 20 models.
