Samsung Introduces New Lifestyle TVs
With the rise of Millennial and Gen Z consumers, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has announced its brand new lifestyle TVs: The Sero, The Serif and The Frame. Yes, I know what you’re thinking about those absurd naming schemes but they have their own reasons behind each of them. The TVs will be powered by Samsung’s cutting-edge QLED technology that delivers realistic visuals and pristine picture quality.
The Sero
The Sero, which means “vertical” in Korean, has the ability to pivot between horizontal and vertical orientations – just like a smartphone or tablet. As much as we hated vertical videos, this feature allows The Sero to connect seamlessly with users’ mobile devices and naturally display the content in either horizontal or vertical modes. The Sero has won “Best of Innovation” prize at CES 2020 as well as the gold award at the iF Design Awards.
The Serif
The Serif TV was developed as an aesthetic-focused TV in collaboration with the Paris-based design brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, two of the world’s most famous industrial designers that specialise in furniture. That explains the rather mind-blowing outlook of the TV which also functions as a decoration piece.
The Frame
A refresh from the previous The Frame, once again, this TV aims to not just provide you with entertainment but also displaying digital art pieces via the Art Mode. The design of The Frame resembles a picture frame easily blends it into your living space. Through the art store, you can choose over 1,200 masterpieces from world-renowned paintings and pictures.
