Samsung Malaysia announces April 14 release date for One UI 7 update

Samsung Malaysia has announced that the One UI 7 update will begin rolling out in Malaysia on April 14, bringing a refreshed design focused on personalization and enhanced control powered by AI-driven interactions.
The update will first arrive on the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold6/Flip6 duo, with more Galaxy smartphones and tablets to follow. Among the new features, the Now Bar introduces real-time updates directly on the lock screen, providing quick access to information like workout tracking, music playback, and more.
Galaxy AI has also been upgraded to better understand user intent based on common actions. For instance, it can recognize when a user wants to “save a video as a GIF” when using AI Select during video playback.
Productivity tools like Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, and Audio Eraser have been improved as well, while Google Gemini integration is now more extensive—accessible with a long press of the side button.
Additionally, the Settings page now supports natural language commands, responding contextually to prompts. For example, saying “My eyes are tired” will automatically enable the Eye Comfort Shield.
