Selangor Forges Partnership to Boost Tech Talent and Digital Transformation
In a move to propel the state’s technological advancement and bridge the digital divide, the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDCx) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mendix, a leading low-code application development platform, and Orangeleaf Consulting, Malaysia’s premier low-code consultancy firm. The signing ceremony took place at the Hannover Messe 2024, the world’s largest industrial technology exhibition in Germany.
This strategic partnership aligns with Selangor’s vision to cultivate a skilled workforce and digitize its industries. Chief Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, who witnessed the event, highlighted the agility and robustness of Mendix’s low-code platform, which allows individuals without coding backgrounds to develop software solutions. He emphasized the government’s commitment to maximizing this partnership’s benefits and fostering a future-oriented environment for Selangor’s businesses and residents.
Empowering the Workforce Through Low-Code Development
Orangeleaf Consulting, the sole partner selected by STDCx, will equip the workforce with the necessary Mendix low-code expertise. Ellice Ng Pui San, CEO of Orangeleaf Consulting, expressed their enthusiasm about empowering businesses and contributing to Malaysia’s digital transformation journey.

Building a Future-Ready Workforce
This partnership aligns with Selangor’s commitment to elevate technical and vocational education. By sponsoring programs like the Siemens-Mendix Certified Digital Professional Program in 2023, the state government actively supports digital upskilling initiatives.
Global Recognition for Mendix
