SK hynix’s new Beetle X31 enters consumer portable SSD market globally

After the local launch in its home base in South Korea, SK hynix is happy to announce the global availability of the Beetle X31 portable SSD.

Combining the best attributes of the acclaimed Gold P31 and Platinum P41, it can function with high efficiency while providing speeds of 1050MBps/1000MBps reads and writes. 500GB files are not a problem as well thanks to the included DRAM cache sustaining the speed at more than 900MBps.

The sleek aluminum case in gold paint serves the practical purpose of efficiently dissipating heat, reducing the risk of thermal throttling in the process. Drops up to 2 meters high can be easily survived and if there’s any accident, the 3-year warranty should keep you mind-free for 36 months.

Dimensions and weight figures come in at 74 x 46 x 14.8 mm and 53g so you’ll know it is small and light. The round edges make it easier to grip too.

You may also transfer files between different types of platforms including PCs, Macs, smartphones, tablets, consoles, and more.

All retail package comes with 2 USB cables, C-to-C and C-to-A, and a protective bumper case.

Storage capacities of the SK hynix Beetle X31 come in 512GB and 1TB. Stocks are currently being shipped accordingly across the globe.
