Sony announces all-new 3.5 mm plug-in power compatible Lavalier Microphone: the ECM-L1
Sony has recently released its latest ECM-L1 lavalier microphone, coming with support for 3.5mm plug-in power.
Built based on the popular ECM-77 series, the ECM-L1 lavalier microphone features a rigid ceramic fixed electrode plate for superb sound quality, a machined brass exterior to minimize external resonance, and a high-purity OFC cable for minimal audio loss.
Furthermore, the durable brass housing and break-resistant 2.2 mm cable, along with a locking ring offer enhanced resilience and reliability. There are also two included windscreens, a metal one for a discreet look and a faux fur one to reduce wind noise.
As mentioned earlier, the ECM-L1 also supports plug-in power and can connect to various devices with a 3.5 mm input which includes cameras, smartphones, and so on, making it versatile for different recording needs.
Availability
There are no words on its price yet but Sony has confirmed that the ECM-L1 Lavalier microphone will arrive in the Malaysian market sometime in October 2024.
