If you always find that SD cards are super fragile, probably due to your work nature or just simply being too careless, Sony might have the answer for you with the new SF-G TOUGH series SD card. They claim these SD cards would be super tough for various situations.

They even got to the extent to remove the lock switch altogether to make sure there are no fragile components on it. I do know there are some users out there still uses the switch to prevent accidental overwrites, however, the number is negligible as far as I know. Besides, you just can’t believe how horrible it is if the SD card with a broken switch got stuck in the SD card slot.

Pricing & Availability

The new SF-G TOUGH series of memory cards will be available in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB capacities. The official launch date will be on October for Asia region. We have yet received the official pricing yet but we’ll keep this post updated.
