New Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI revealed for SEA market but Malaysia won’t be getting it until July

Sony Malaysia has announced they will be bringing in the new Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI very soon but let’s find out what’s “new”.

Let’s delve into the Xperia 1 VI first. It retains the classic “Exmor T for mobile” image sensor, renowned for its exceptional low-light performance, high-speed AI-powered AF tracking, and human pose estimation. Additionally, users can seamlessly enjoy similar image quality on BRAVIA TVs with the “Powered by BRAVIA” certification.

Moreover, the telephoto optical zoom lens supports up to x7.1 zoom and telephoto macro photography with approximately 2x magnification, resulting in sharp details and pronounced bokeh for portrait and tele-macro photography. The updated camera app offers special shooting modes, customizable color presets, and improved tracking that automatically adjusts brightness, while Pro Mode provides more precise control for video recording.

The OLED screen is now enhanced with Sunlight Vision technology, offering 1.5x better visibility under direct sunlight. The stereo speakers deliver superb audio output, including wireless connectivity, meeting Hi-Res standards. Notable features include a 2-day battery life with fast charging and Wi-Fi 7 integration for seamless wireless UHD clip transfer.

Gamers will appreciate the new FPS Optimizer for consistent frame rates, along with enhanced touch input. The dedicated Style Cover With Stand provides a stable grip and multiple orientations, ideal for shooting sessions.

Moving on to the Xperia 10 VI, it stands out for its extended battery life, front-facing speakers, and 6.1-inch OLED display. It also boasts great Bluetooth music codec support with LDAC and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Equipped with a more efficient SoC, it effortlessly handles the dual rear camera system featuring focal lengths of 16mm, 26mm, and 52mm. The compact design, weighing just 164g, makes it perfect for daily use, while the soft transparent resin material adds a comfortable touch to the device.
